We're currently over run with art deco furniture at Canonbury Antiques. We can't seem to stop acquiring it on our buying trips up and down the country and with the odd foray onto mainland Europe. We've got some great pieces in - if you are looking to do a whole room, or even your whole house in art deco furniture then you've found the right people.
Whether it's an art deco style desk, chest of drawers, bookcases, a Man Men-esque deco drinks cabinet, deco nightstands or a console table then we've got it. You can view our extensive range of art deco furniture by clicking here.
The 1920s art deco era has to be one of our favourite epochs at Canonbury Antiques, it seems, from the vantage point of today, like such an interesting and progressive time. Design boundaries were broken down, the world was being explored and discovered, technical developments like air travel started to become commercialised, the drinks were strong and the jazz music was loud. What fun times to be around. Aesthetically, art deco furniture has a clean and minimal design ethos, hence making it great for contemporary interiors. The look is unfussy and symmetrical, clean lines and a streamlined aesthetic. That's why our clients (and their interior designers) love it.
Much of this art deco furniture is on display in our Canonbury Antiques Hertfordshire showroom so please get in touch if would like to make an appointment. We are conveniently located just 20 minutes north of London by train - 40 minutes by car. We have a large warehouse packed to the rafters with all manner of goods, apart from art deco we also have various classic English dining sets, architectural antiques, bronzes, porcelain, French antiques and everything for the world of interiors. Please get in touch if you'd like to make an appointment.
