CLASSIC ENGLISH DINING TABLES
( Regency pedestal table in flame mahogany )
The main dining tables we carry - in both walnut and mahogany - are either Victorian extending tables or Regency pedestal tables. The Victorian table is typically mahogany and has a chunkier look with large hand turned legs and will extend via a leaf system. Normally the table extends by winding the handle at one end which works of a spindle running the length of the table. You can open up the table and pop in extra leaves if you require a bigger table, perhaps when hosting a bigger dinner party or function around your antique dining set.
Our range of Regency pedestal tables also work off a leaf system although it works via the pedestal base system not a handle to extend and add extra leaves. The table tops sit on the pedestal bases and via a slat you can add extra leaves. A leaf is typically two feet long - and our bigger Regency pedestal tables can extend upwards of 16 feet. We can even get tables custom made to bigger sizes if required. We find a lot of our bigger tables can end up in a board room situation as well as for dining they are great for executive boardroom meeting situations.
We also carry William IV tables, Hepplewhite, Chippendale and of course an extensive range of oak and farmhouse furniture if you are looking for a more rustic, provincial look.
