The first rococo mirrors were created from 1730. They have complex plaster or carved frames with elaborate gilding. However, some have sturdy bases for keeping on the tabletop. While they’ll likely have elaborated ornate features, some only have smooth round frames.
Rococo gilt mirrors exist in many shapes other than the ones discussed above. For example, there are octagonal mirrors, which came out much later in the 20th century but with rococo features.
