The figure is depicted playing twin pipes, with water traditionally issuing from the mouthpiece, giving the sculpture both narrative charm and functional purpose. Cast in the round with finely observed anatomical detail, the figure wears an animal-skin headdress and draped pelt, reinforcing its Arcadian / mythological character.
