You are viewing an ornately carved antique Italian table in walnut with a mahogany top
Hopefully the photos do the piece some justice, it's definitely better in the flesh
Most of the carving is underneath - cherub and male masks and the winged lion / serpent creatures on the stretcher
Could function as both a centre or console table
Of course, the carved campana urn in the middle also draws the eye
The top is in mahogany with satinwood crossbanding
We date this work of art to circa 1840
