Piece Description
Exceptional Napoleon III style centre table of striking decorative impact, featuring a circular top richly finished in faux malachite with intricate gilt scrolling foliate designs radiating from a central medallion The colouration on the table top is uniform but there are reflections in the photo which makes it look irregular The ormolu-mounted frieze is finely cast with continuous scrolling motifs, echoing the opulence of Second Empire taste The table is supported by three beautifully modelled caryatid figures in classical dress, each rendered in gilt bronze and standing on a shaped triform base Bought from a dealer on Marche Biron at Paris antiques markets Below, a secondary tier repeats the faux malachite and gilt decoration, centred with an elegant urn, adding both balance and visual depth to the piece The combination of vivid green ground and luminous gilt creates a luxurious contrast typical of high-quality Napoleon III decorative furniture A superb statement centre table, ideal for a grand interior, hall, or drawing room Will ship to anywhere in the world - including the US - please get in touch for a shipping quote Dimensions are in inches (CM): Width x Depth x Height 44 (111.8) x 44 (111.8) x 34 (86.4) FT
