Piece Description

Gorgeous French Empire mantel clock in marble and gilt
Piece is surmounted - very high Empire - by the gilded sphinx
Classic Egyptian style with specicmen marble supports and Egyptian motifs
Clock face is inscribed with 'Rozier' and 'Toulon'
Working order and we date this to circa 1880
Purchased from a dealer on Marche Biron at Paris antiques market
