Piece Description

Fine George III style mahogany corner display cabinet dating to circa 1820
The upper section with a broken swan-neck pediment centred by a finial above a pair of astragal glazed doors enclosing display shelves
Bought from a private house sale in London's Mayfair
The base is fitted with cupboard doors inset with oval veneered panels, providing useful storage
The cabinet is richly decorated with crossbanding and contrasting inlay, reflecting the elegance of late 18th century English design
A well-proportioned and highly decorative piece, designed to fit neatly into a corner, ideal for displaying porcelain or decorative objects
