Piece Description

You are viewing an elegant French Napoleon III centre table
We date this to circa 1850 and the violin form to the shaped design is gorgeous
Ormolu fixtures are original and include female maiden leg mounts
Of course the main visual draw to this piece is the elaborate inlay
Floral motifs, sprays, leaves and scrolls have been cut out of coloured fruitwood and embedded into the ebony and kingwood of the desk - it looks amazing
Such a stand out piece we were happy to source at the Paris antiques markets
Offered in great condition ready for home use right away
