The piece is roughly in the Chippendale style which would have been dated 18th Century and this can be seen with features like the canted corners. The piece is very solid and comfortable and would make for a great desk for your home or office (or home office). The work surface is large and can accomodate lap tops and books as well as being comfortable to write on. To the front are the nine drawers so there is ample storage space. The piece has lovely ormolu handles and fixtures. It is the ultimate in craftmanship and this piece will last for generations hence making it a great heirloom.
