They just keep coming... another quirky find - this time an Italian majolica porcelain figurine. Again, we take our jester hats off to the Canonbury buying team. The statue is signed on the base and is the work of Apolito Carmine Giuseppe. I love the colours and vibrancy, it manages to capture all the playfulness of a Venetian carnival. Apolito studied under Eugenio Pattarino after attending the School of Arts in Sesto Fiorentino specializing in porcelain and ceramics
