At Canonbury Antiques we carry a range of antique lowboys. These distinctive pieces of furniture fall between a side table and a chest of drawers. In contrast to the tallboy these will only have one or two rows of drawers. The lowboy is actually more of an American term for this type of furniture and can also refer to a dressing table, vanity or duchess. In English cabinet making the lowboy often has Queen Anne references to the design such as curved legs and pad feet.
