Francois Linke

ALL STYLES
all
Francois Linke was a French cabinet and furniture maker. He was born in the Czech Republic in 1855 and then went on to work out of Paris from the 1850s onwards. Francois Linke was the single most driving force behind the transition from Louis XV to Louis XVI styles. Alongside Léon Messagé, he developed a new style for the 1900 Exhibition that paid homage to the Louis XV Rococo - much of his work is characterised by ornate gilding and looks great in high end interiors. Many of our pieces are in the manner of Francois Linke - originals very highly collectable and hence can command high prices on the market. If you would like to view any of these pieces in our Hertfordshire showroom please get in touch for an appointment. We can ship these Francois Linke style pieces to anywhere in the world so please get in touch for a shipping quote or if you have any other questions.
