Sheraton Revival

At Canonbury Antiques we carry a range of Sheraton Revival furniture. This is a largely neoclassical style of English furniture playing of the designs of Thomas Sheraton who was born in 1751 and alongside Chippendale and Hepplewhite is one of the pre-eminent furniture designers and cabinet makers. Sheraton Revival notably features tapered legs, fluting, inlay and marquetry and rectilnear forms. The clean and minimal designs make it perfect for contemporary interiors. The Sheraton Revival style can be seen to be contemporary to the Directoire style in France and the Federal look in the US.
